Common Questions

Everything you need to know about specs, shipping, and setup.

What is your Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ)?
We specialize in agility. While we can handle runs of 500 units, our pricing becomes most efficient at 1,000 units and above. For extremely small runs, we may recommend purchasing a Zap Labeler for in-house use.
What roll direction (Copy Position) do you require?
Because we utilize Zap Labeler machines, we are highly flexible. However, the industry standard Copy Position #3 (Right Edge Off First) or #4 (Left Edge Off First) is preferred for most round bottles.
Do you supply the labels and containers?
Typically, clients supply their own components. However, through our sister company Desktop Industrial, we can source boxes, packaging supplies, and even coordinate label printing for you.
How should I ship my product to you?
We accept deliveries via LTL freight (palletized) or UPS/FedEx ground shipments. Our facility in Carbondale, IL has a loading dock and forklift capabilities for receiving standard 40x48 pallets.
What is your standard turnaround time?
Once all components (product + labels) are in our facility, our standard lead time is 3-5 business days for runs under 10,000 units. Rush services (24-48 hours) are available for an additional fee.
Can you handle tapered bottles or wine bottles?
Yes. Tapered bottles require a specific label curve to apply straight. If your labels are not pre-curved, we can sometimes adjust our machinery to compensate, but we recommend consulting with us before printing your labels.
What is the core size requirement for label rolls?
We accept standard 3-inch cores. We can also handle 1-inch cores for smaller runs, but 3-inch is preferred for high-speed application. Max outer roll diameter is 12 inches.
Do you offer batch coding or expiration dating?
Yes. We can apply inkjet date codes, lot numbers, or expiration dates directly to the bottom of the container or onto the label itself during the application process.
What about "Block Out" or Cover-Up labels?
We specialize in inventory rescue. If you have a typo or regulatory issue, we can apply a localized opaque label over the error. This is often 90% cheaper than scrapping the product.
What is your loss/spoilage allowance?
We pride ourselves on precision, but setup requires materials. We ask for a standard industry overage of 2-3% on labels and containers to account for machine setup and calibration.
Can you handle transparent "No-Look" labels?
Yes. We have specialized ultrasonic sensors on our Zap Labelers that can detect clear labels on clear liners, ensuring perfect placement for that high-end cosmetic look.
Do you offer storage or fulfillment after labeling?
Absolutely. Once labeled, we can immediately kit your products into subscription boxes, pack them for FBA, or store them in our warehouse for drip-fulfillment to your customers.
